During my recent business trip to Chambres D'Hôtes Chez Epicure, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm, family-run atmosphere that enveloped the historic building. As a wildlife conservationist, I deeply appreciate places that foster community and connection, and here, Audrey and Philippe made us feel right at home, making every meal an opportunity to indulge in fresh local produce and hearty Swiss cheese. What struck me the most was how accommodating they were to my 10-year-old son, providing plenty of books and games to keep him entertained. He felt as though he was part of a family, which made our stay incredibly special. And for me, the chance to unwind in the sauna and enjoy the peaceful garden-a little oasis, complete with a children's playground-was a perfect way to wind down after a long day. If you're looking for a cozy spot to relax with loved ones, this charming place in Ballaigues is certainly a gem. I can't wait to return and enjoy more leisurely breakfasts amidst such a welcoming atmosphere!
